The Bolton Barn is situated in the middle of the campsite. It may be hired for exclusive use. However, the toilets which can be accessed from the rear of the building are available to all campers. In extreme weather conditions pre bookings may be required to offer shelter to other campers.
It is not suitable for overnight accommodation. The small Kitchen is reserved for the wardens use.

Longer hires require, in addition, to pay for actual diesel used.
The purpose-built caving complex is suitable for members of the four younger sections. Helmets are provided but participants require their own torch. Old clothes are recommended. Leader supervision required. See Guidance for use
The bivouac is situated in a secluded area of the wood and allows a group of 6/8 to sleep out independently. there is a low deck for sleeping on and a small stove for heat.

The archery Range is situated on the left hand side of the main entrance at the top of the main car park. A safe area with targets and a stop net has been provided. Groups require to provide their own equipment and suitably qualified instructor.
A former small reservoir on the site provides opportunities for water activities on class "C" water. Leaders must familiarise themselves POR rules with regard to their suitability / experience and have the appropriate authority to lead and supervise such activities.
Possible activities include kayaking, paddle boarding & raft building.
The equipment is stored adjacent to the water with two launching points, one at the store and a secondary pontoon which can be used for change overs.
The secondary pontoon is suitable for pond dipping for which there is no charge.
